Built on incredible knowledge and powerful systems, Otium helps Business Owners and Sales Leaders scale their business by revolutionizing their customer journey with automation. 

Otium came to Field & Co. as “Venture Launch” with a big pain point: inconsistency. Cameron, their founder, has big goals and in-depth industry knowledge but was struggling to showcase this to their ideal clients.

OUR SOLUTION

For Otium’s primary logomark, we created a minimalistic and clean word mark using custom letters. Playing on Otium’s tagline “Unlocking opportunity through automations”, the ‘o’ is cut in half and offset to resemble an unlocked padlock.

THE STRATEGY

By defining exactly the type of business owner who needs Otium’s help, we were able to create a brand that would speak directly to them. This includes language guidelines that leave out the technical jargon and “how” on automation and focus on the transformation in a way that’s easily understandable.

Otium’s clients aren’t experts in automation and might not have even dipped their toes into automation. We helped Otium in finding a middle ground that shows their incredible knowledge and skill, to build trust and authority with their audience, but in a way that business owners and sales leaders can understand.

Taking all of this strategy and infusing it into an exciting and easily recognizable brand, we begin to cultivate the community and the feeling behind Otium.

FROM VENTURE LAUNCH TO OTIUM

When the folks at Otium (formerly Venture Launch) came to us, they knew they didn’t resonate with their business name. Venture Launch felt too restrictive and boring. Otium is striving for greatness and their current name was holding them back.

Through in-depth research into Otium’s competitors, both direct and indirect, we determined that the best business names are those that are short, unique and memorable. Business names that are easy to read and understand, can only be pronounced in one way and are not directly descriptive of the business operations had the best staying power.

Otium is Latin for freedom from business, ease and peace. It represents leisure time away from business. Which is exactly what Otium gives their clients through efficient systems and automation. 

Otium is not a common word, which leaves no room for confusion with other businesses. It’s short and it’s memorable.
